DAS Aviation Expands Capabilities
to Include Landing Gear Repair, Overhaul, and Exchange

Cedar Hill, TX — May 1, 2026 — DAS Aviation, a leading FAA Part 145 Repair Station renowned for airframe structural repairs, sheet metal fabrication, component overhaul, and composite structures, today announced a major expansion of its service portfolio to include repair, overhaul, and exchange programs for business jet landing gear. This strategic investment strengthens the company’s position as a full‑service component repair partner and addresses rising industry demand for rapid, reliable landing‑gear‑focused solutions.

To support this capability expansion, DAS Aviation has expanded its operational footprint to more than 90,000 square feet of dedicated, tooling-enabled space for landing gear activities across two strategic locations.

The company now offers repair and overhaul services across a broad range of aircraft, including the Phenom 100/300; Challenger 601/604/605/650; Challenger 300/350; Legacy 600/650; Legacy 450/500; Praetor 500/600; Learjet 20/30/50/60  and all King Air platforms. Exchange programs have also been added for the Falcon 50/50EX, Falcon 2000/2000EX/2000EXEasy/2000S, Falcon 900C/900EX, Global 5000/XRS/5500/6000/6500, Gulfstream IV and Piaggio P180/P180 II Avanti.

A team of 25 engineers now provides expanded engineering support to strengthen landing gear repair and overhaul programs, ensuring technical depth and program reliability. DAS Aviation has plans to further invest in chrome, CAD, zinc-nickel, electroless-nickel and HVOF plating technologies to enhance component longevity and performance, which is particularly important as aircraft age and replacement part availability tightens across the market.

Beyond landing gear services, DAS Aviation continues to supply comprehensive support across structural repairs, component overhaul and repair, sheet metal fabrication, composite structures, mobile repair and recovery services, and robust engineering capabilities.

“Turn time and return to service, along with safety, are our core focus,” said Dan Podojil, Senior Vice President of DAS Aviation. “We are a business built on solutions, and this expansion exemplifies our focus on being the business aviation leader in landing gear support and reducing turnaround times. It lets us say yes to our customers by delivering rapid, reliable landing gear repair, overhaul, and exchange with engineering-backed reliability.”

“This expansion is a milestone for DAS Aviation and for our customers who require faster, more reliable landing gear support,” added Jon Hein, Landing Gear Contact for DAS Aviation. “By aligning our capabilities with the rest of our portfolio, we’re delivering true full‑service coverage and strengthening safety, turn times, and problem‑solving across the board.”
